Alayne thinks to write Lucrezia back but no, she wishes her first letter to her beloved friend to be light and effervescent, not made heavy with toil and Cersei Lannister's shadow. Though the queen's presence would touch many a thing, it would not touch this. No, this would remain unsullied.
Instead, she sends a raven in reply — coral-beaked and white feathered, with black eyes (proof that it is not an albino, but a rare creature bred for such pristine snowy-ness). To his ankle there is affixed the briefest of correspondence. ]

My beloved Alayne,
I shall be forever grateful for your company. Know that you may call upon me at any hour without request for you are my beloved friend.
You shall always be welcome in room zero-one-zero, zero-eight-zero.
Your ever loving friend,
Lucrezia Borgia.

Eagerly (though there is still a twist of nerves in her belly) she readiest herself as if meaning to hold audience with a queen. There are few that Alayne holds in higher regard aboard the ship than Lucrezia and even if their meeting turns to tears and salt-stained cheeks, she will be nothing short of a vision when she calls upon her.
At long length, a knock sounds against Lucrezia's door. Out in the hallway Alayne stands alone (Lady is away, minding her wolf sister Nymeria in the oxygen gardens). ]

A deep curtsy, Alayne Stone shall receive from her before she clasps her hands in hers to lead her inside. ]
I am fortunate, my beloved Alayne, to have your company today.
